Thanks for the 'correction'.  I originally wrote EEPROM took out one of the 
'e's, and then took out the wrong word...  EE being Electronically (or 
electrically) Erasable as opposed to UV erasable...  My mistake.  They 
(EEPROMS) have a MTTF that's better than EPROMS, but still fails within 1/4 
of a human lifetime or so.
