Inside it, on both sides of the film pressure plate are small screws. Remove these, and then you can slide the plate sideway-up so it gets loose from the spring that holds it. Behind that, you will find screws, holding the film speed dial. Unscrew these, and you are done. Replacement leatherette is a part that can be ordered from a Leica photo store. Just remove the old leatherette, clean a little, and attach the new leatherette (it is pre-glued).
