A number of years ago, a friend of mine was hired by a Saudi Arabian
Prince to do a photography project. My friend told me that the Prince
would often get in a very bad mood at the end of each month, because his
American Express card would start getting refused. This was the card he
used for his incidental and discretionary expenses--his travel and
household expenses were already paid. It seemed his expenditures had
gotten out of hand, and his father had put him on an allowance; so his
American Express card, which had previously been unlimited, had had a
limit put on it.

The limit was $1 million per month. The Prince would usually make it
most of the way through the month before running dry. <s>

P.S. From the sounds of things, quite a bit of this money was used to
give very extravagant and generous gifts.
