Unless you have a Top Secret clearance, you will never know, as Midland
production is, and has been for fifty years, almost totally sneaky-pete
aerial-recon and satellite stuff. The plant was founded for this purpose,
and camera and lens production has always been a small part of its total
production. (Notice that it is most active in camera production in the
1970's, when the Carter administration cut off most new military
procurement by US forces.)

You cannot even get a tour of the plant. They will not let you inside the
main gate without the requisite security clearance AND a need to know.
