Finally.  We've established that there is a wide range of quality, perceived quality, and understanding in audio - just like in photography.  Now I feel relieved about having 2 cameras - an M4P and a $1.50 plastic box marked 'as is' from the YMCA thrift shop; each has it's place.

I agree with you, but the same argument could be made when comparing an $149 
Pentax lens with a $2495 leica version  (for the average person).
