Ah! Some confusion! I had taken "90mm collapsible" to mean the 4/90
collapsible Elmar while I suspect you had thought the initial query was
about a collapsible shade for the 90mm lens.

The 11250 hood IS a collapsible hood, but it was marketed only for the
2.8/90 "skinny" Tele-Elmarit and then only for a brief period -- these are
now fairly rare. The proper hood for the collapsible 4/90 Elmar -- and all
later 4/90 rigid Elmar and all 2.8/90 lenses until the current one Elmarit
- -- is the IUFOO/12575. The 12575 has been in constant production, with
some variations, since 1954 or before: Laney says 1956, but it is listed
in my 1954 catalog.
