I have used a fair amount of Kodachrome 200 which is purchased in the UK
process-paid and is therefore processed by Kodak themselves.   My slides
show absolutely no hint of a purple cast and therefore I think I would look
at your processors for the problem.   Whilst on the subject, it is
noticeable how many of the shots that made it to the prestigious "British
Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards" were shot on this film, which
is still very popular.
