OT	=	Off-Topic
CLA	=	Clean, Lube, and Adjust, a standard camera service, previously
recommended by Leica for M cameras annually.
RF	=	rangefinder
VF	=	view-finder
MF	=	medium format	(roll film, now 120 and 70mm only)
LF	=	large format (cut film and plates)  (there are also "sub-miniature",
such as 16mm and Minox, and "miniature format", such as 35mm and its
off-spring)
LTM	=	Leica thread-mount, also known crudely as "screw-mount", a lens mount
of 39mm width and 26 turns-per-inch Whitworth thread
LHSA	=	Leica Historical Society of America, the premier core of Leica
expertise 
LUG	=	the Leica Users' Group, the premier core of Leica expertise on the 'Net
M42	=	a lens-mount consisting of a 42mm by 1mm screw-thread, also known as
"PSM" for Pentax or Praktica Screw-Mount, or USM, for Universal Screw-Mount
CRF	=	Contax rangefinder, a bayonet-mount camera system which was the Leica
RF's main rival from 1930 until 1960
