Hey folks,

C'mon! After all what does this have to do with Leica cameras? Let a
lone a wide sweeping topic on photography?

Actually I agree with both posts and members.

However, Austin is quite correct, as this is a Leica list, not about
racism, certainly to the extent it has escalated.

However, Jeff is quite correct, in that sweeping it under the mat isn't
going to make it go away. But, sweeping it under the mat or not isn't
the problem, it's just run it's course to the point of no "Leica or
Photography" content. And developing into a vitriolic group of emotional
words that will or could end friendships.

Yes I know, other off topic subjects have gone on much longer, but they
haven't carried the emotional weight of racism. This really is something
that absolutely requires face to face discussion and not the time delay
of e-mail.

Besides it's an international group here and those in the heat of the
discussion have a great danger of alienating the camaraderie of our
international Leica relationship.

By all means continue to carry on the discussion, however, move it to a
different site. And that's not sweeping it under the mat, it's merely
putting it in the appropriate listing. Thank you.
