Amen, amen, amen. People are encouraged to think that they can "get" any
photograph instantly. Why? Because most photographs we see honored
(chiefly by publication, chiefly as commercial advertisements) are
specifically designed to be that way. It's gotten so people don't think
it's worthwhile to spend any time getting to know photographs. Except
maybe their own.
