The subject was UV filters (A.K.A. useless filters). Not "useful" filters. People on the LUG aren't stupid. I've been here for a very long time. And people know that I rant about using useless UV filters. Dan Cardish and I always have this debate. I like Dan a lot. His photography is great. But we can healthily disagree on things. So Austin, just accept the fact that I think UV filters are useless and most other filters are useful. That I use filters a lot. And attempting to protect the front element of your lens with another piece of glass is ludicrous. Jim
