Folks,

I have the same problem with my +/- 5 months M6TTL. Need new batteries
approximately every 6 roll of films.
Just got back from vacation in Bali and ended up not using it for the last
one week. I could not get replacement batteries in Indonesia (running out
of spares, had 4 with me).

At first I thought it had to do with forgetting to turn off the meter when
I bagged it. Well, even when I turned off the meter the battery drainage
occurred.
I am going to have it check up.

On the other hand my R8 work just fine :-).
