Ah.  Stumbled across some info myself:

No obvious reason to infer that it has any practical advantage over my 
accustomed Domkes, but it certainly has a pleasing "classic" look, and 
at the very least I'd be more likely to put one of these than a Domke
on my lovely "new" IIIf if I decided it needed to be bestrapped.
