Such reactions are typical of the LUG. By comparison, the ContaxG user
forum seems pretty mild and I have yet to see or read an angry post,
uncontrolled outbursts, bitter personal attacks, names calling and the
likes. Sometimes, I get the feeling that it is "a good neighbourhood to
live in."

Sal is new to the LUG and posted something which Herr Cohn said to him. I
would take him at face value. I see no reason to read in between the lines.
All said, Sal will have to be on guard and be prepared to defend himself in
the LUG when questioned by others who may not agree with him. Sometimes
such discussions and debates turn out to be interesting and informative. At
other times, you see a riot. Interestingly, even the worse of flames
eventually get extinguished.

I suppose that there are many ways to gauge a company's performance, the
stock market price being perhaps one of them. One wonders how accurate the
stock market price is as a barometer for a company's performance. Prices
can be driven up or down by sentiments. Of late, stock prices in my part of
the woods seem rather depressing even for the best blue chip companies.

After reading more about Sal's reputation and appointment, I am of the
opinion that he will be an asset to the LUG and will be able to enrich the
various discussions with his vast experience.
