peter,

i did read your reply and believe i understood it, and it included a lot
more than the question regarding sync speed. if that was all you intended
to say, why the smug, condescending comments that characterize so many of
your posts? in addition to the above, here are a few of your comments from
today, which are not untypical of you lately:

>Just remember in terms of lens quality, there is good, better and Leica.!

>Yes. I will now get down on my knees and bow east to the great Leica
>camera...barf!

„...Was a day from hell today. Guess it came out in the emails. Sometimes
I just get tired of the worship >that seems obvious to me...

comments like these are both petty and childish. instead of harping on the
leica 'zealots' as you call them, why don't you tell us about your
experiences - good or bad - using the camera we are all supposedly here to
discuss, and give us a reason to take you seriously. you must have more to
contribute than superficial negative comments justified by 'my opinion is
different than yours.' if, to periphrase you, opinions are indeed like
assholes - everybody has one - that doesn't mean we have to act like
assholes in our posts to the lug. nor does it mean that people have to put
up with the type of shallow comments quoted above, ad infinitum.
