Also read Gunther Osterloh's book (page 63) on artificial vignetting which
is unavoidable in large aperture lenses used at full aperture. There is
even a photo in that page to explain what is "artificial vignetting."

The remarkable attribute of the Noctilux is the ability to produce sharp
pictures used WIDE OPEN, at even the closest distances. Then I just love
the silky smooth out of focus areas aka "bokeh". You might like to see
