I am picking up my camera again after about 20 years. By way of background I was primarily a cinematographer, yet did do some professional stll work. After too many rock videos I changed career paths but never lost my love of the black and white still image. To give you an idea, when I was shooting I used a Nikon F, motor , etc., and always felt like I was carrying around a boat anchor. I wanted a Leica when I was in film school, but could only afford a Zorki 4 bought at a NYC pawn shop. (awful camera). : ( I've now purchased an M6 and have a few questions. When I shot black and white I was rating Tri X at 200 and developing in Acufine. The steel tanks at the time were a pain to load. I have read here Xtol seems to be a developer of choice, is this the one you would recommend starting with? Also, are any good tanks available that are easy loaders. At that time, a Jobo plastic was easier but not really acceptable for a number of reasons. Finally, after doing some research, I also purchased a new 35mm asph, and am looking for a 90, preferably used. There are several, and am wondering if the elmarit M is a reasonable choice. I'd love speed, but want to stay as portable as possible. I would appreciate any comments. - --PAA12665.948486767/imo-d05.mx.aol.com-- - --part1_e6.8dc58b.25ba1e4e_boundary-- - --PAA12214.948487252/imo24.mx.aol.com-- - --part1_17.cebad0.25ba1eb7_boundary--
