Subject: [Leica] 50 Years in China

The recently published book 50 Years of Photography in China is an
instructive and sometimes inspiring book. For one, it shows the work of
about 15 photographers (not including--so sad--the LUG's Adrian
Bradshaw). And it does so one section per photographer. It ranges from
from Chinese photographers I don't know to Magnum's Kubota, Salgado,
Kratochvil, Eve Arnold, MacDuff Everton and even landscape artist Robert
Glenn Ketchum. Yet leaves out such notables as Marc Riboud and Dennis
Cox

It ranges from gritty BW to larger format color. Its presentation is
one reason I almost never buy books shot by more than one
photographer--too disjointed.

But see for yourselves. The differences of the various viewpoints is a
good barometer of what speaks most to your personal sensibilities.
