It should be fairly dim compared to regular room illumination. You can use a brighter light after a few minutes to take a closer look if you choose. Also, do squeegee the prints before you inspect them-it makes a big difference in highlights and shadows. Please let me know if this makes a difference for you, it did for me. Richard Wasserman
