And what a party it is, too! Wow! When this whole thing started I wondered what all our European friends make of such "discourse." I suppose Americans have always been enthusiastic about matters political -- and I admit I used to be as well -- but some are downright zealots when it comes to their particular view. (And I'm sure they would say "rightly so.") The pro-gun crowd and the anti-tax crowd seem to be particularly prone to raising the volume during these discussions. It does make for spirited debate but probably not the best topic for a group that is supposed to be about Leica cameras. With that being said, I'll try to bring the discussion back home. Some may remember that I posted a note a couple of days ago about the used Leica M3 I bought from Le Camera. The current situation is thus: I returned the camera for credit but bought a different body. With any luck this one will turn out to be a keeper. Naturally, I'm buying the M3 for it's "high mag" viewfinder. I would have probably preferred a high mag M6 but alas, I'm a bottom feeder and an M3 is about half the price. I guess I'll just learn to suffer the spool until I become a little more affluent. I also ordered one of Richard Wasserman's add-on rewind cranks and received it yesterday. Gee, I wonder how many he'll sell to buyers of the new black paint M6? Bob
