I agree Marc.  Why spend the extra on an F1 or F1.4 if you typically shoot
at F5.6 or F8.
If you need the low light lens, then the Noctilux or Summilux is the lens
for you.
If not the 2/50 Summicron will actually be sharper at the middle apertures
than either the Summilux or Noctilux.

Well, of course there is doubt:  there is much doubt.  More than a few of
us find the 35mm lens boring.  

I'd opt for a current 2/50 Summicron or a used 1.4/50 Summilux.  But, there
is no "best choice" in the sense of a "one-size-fits-all".  Figure out what
YOU want to use, what your style calls for, and match that.  My choice
would quite possibly not be yours!
