Hi Thomas,

That sounds like a camera malfunction if it has happened on more than one
roll. My R8's both stop when they have exposed frame 36 then I push down on
the rewind button and the winder does the rest.

If this is a regular occasion I'd have the camera back to the store
quickly! Certainly if you're in testing mode, simply because on a test
shoot everything should be right on the mark.

I've heard a few others mention this delay thing, but in my shooting I
never think nor feel delay, as I'm punching that button so quickly that if
there is delay it's simply me not reacting fast enough to the situation I'm
shooting.

Hopefully they'll all be positive! :) There's a bunch of R8 users out here
in the cold cruel world who simply love the camera and have 3 - 4 years
experience with them, so be assured if you have questions, 99.99999% can be
answered right on the LUG.

Enjoy the camera, it's just a wonder and joy to use.:) Oooooohhhhh and it
feels so good! ;)
