Subject: [Leica] LTM Filter

I've just bought a lens off ebay, it came with a 36mm clamp on filter, the filter is engraved "E Leitz NY C.F." could somebody
tell me what the CF stands for?  I have no idea what this filter does, it appears to have a pale sepia cast to it.
