Tina,

Peter's right about that. The rangefinder does miss out on precise 
composition and framing that an SLR can give. The mirror blackout is 
something the rangefinder lacks, which is good, but for near-far 
compositional precision, the SLR is better. It all depends on what kind of 
photography one is doing whether the trade-offs benefit the rangefinder or 
the SLR.
