Eric,
Whew, I'll say. That guy is every journalist's and editor's nightmare
come to life.

Reminds me of what happened at Dartmouth. When I was there, John Kemeny
had just been named President. He was a mathematician, co-inventor of
the computer language BASIC, and a former research assistant to Albert
Einstein. There was a hue and cry that it was a disgrace to Dartmouth
because he was a scientist and not a humanities scholar. So what did
they do after Kemeny left? They named as President a _businessman_, the
former CEO of Toro lawnmowers. Now _that's_ a travesty.

Even Otis Chandler has objected to this guy Mark Willes. This is really
a crucible juncture for American journalism.
