The later canon 1.8's are a fantastic deal. No Leica-made LTM lens,
including the summicron, is as easy to use, or gives as good results
(resolution, contrast, flare-taming) as this.

An absloute sleeper. Only sucky thing is the goofy 40mm filter thread.

I have a Canon 50/1.8.  It is a good lens...reasonably priced...and I think
a little smaller than the 1.4...although I'm not positive.
