Regarding the card, you do not need a card reader; you can plug the
camera directly into your computer.  Check at the store and/or read the
instructions for the camera.  You can get a bigger card, up to 16MB, I
think, for the Digilux.  The Digilux zoom will accept cards up to 64MB.
Another neat feature of the Digilux zoom is the slide scanning
attachment that will be available(but will cost extra).
