Marc,

maybe we were both wrong. Check these curent (high, imho) prices from Don C.

50mm f:2 Summicron  1501xxx chrome rigid mint-             650.00
50mm f:2 Summicron 1787xxx chrome rigid exc+++/mint-       650.00
50mm f:2 Summicron 2158xxx chrome rigid mint-              650.00

50mm f:2 Summicron-DR 1950xxx mint-/exc+++                 650.00

And Stan backs that up:

Leica 50/2 Summicron DR Ex++/M- $595/$695

later,

Alistair

Hmm. I've owned both (two DR's and four rigids) and sold the rigids, as
they run, at least in these parts, about twice what the DR costs, and they
are identical optically. The DR is a magnificent lens. Those interested
should check out Erwin's analysis.
