Subject: [Leica] Rangefinder adjustment

Is it possible to adjust the rangefinder on a M4-2 at home, or does it
need to go to a service facility. I am familiar with adjusting the
horizontal and vertical register in screw mount Leicas, but am a little
leery of attempting it on the M.
The horizontal seems correct and accurate. However it is slightly off on
the vertical. Most times it is OK but it is distracting and a bit
misleading when a smaller point of light or object is in the RF field. It
seems to be 1/16 of the rangefinder patch too high.
Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.
