Dear B.D.,

Noticed your reply to my post on the 35 ASPH 'lux
and was reminded that I'd meant to drop you a line.

First off, I hope that Dr. Blacktape has fully recovered
from the Unfortunate Events that trashed his M outfit,
his car, and other valuables (Dr. Blacktape included);
or at least that the aforementioned recovery is going well.

Also... I never did get to meet you, but I suspect that
(relatively soon), I will. After far too much deliberation
and soul-searching I've taken a postdoctoral research job
with a biochemistry group at Dartmouth. So (at least for
now) I won't be joining the science writing world. Stephanie,
on the other hand, is still finishing up her PhD @ UMaine
and is looking into science teaching, very broadly construed.
Ultimately she'd like to do aquarium/museum work, curriculum
development, something like that.

At some point I'd like to finally meet you (and perhaps other
New England luggers). We could talk about science, photos,
whatever else. Should be great.

The big move will be in late February.

Best regards,

Alexey

ps - thinking of selling 35 mm 'lux ASPH to cover moving
expenses; concept causing flinching & hives. Yech.
