I am sure Erwin can give a fuller and more complete response, but both
bases of the rangefinders in the M6 (view finder magnification 0.72) and
the Konica HM ( viewfinder mag 0.60) are physically very close at 69.25mm
(M6) and 69.2mm (HM). Effective base for the M6 is 49.9 (69.25 X 0.72) and
for the HM 41.52 (69.2 X 0.60). The difference is 16.8 % and if you refer
to Erwins's excellent article at his web site on rangefinder accuracy, as I
interpret it, the HM *should* be able to provide focus within an adequate
range for all available lenses including the fastest Leica ones.
