I agree that off-topic stuff can get out of hand, but grey cards and 
the zone system are off-topic?

My dad, who was not really very good at "textbook" algebra, could 
take a complicated algebra problem and solve it correctly in this 
head, without being able to explain how he did it. He was a "natural" 
at mathematics. Me...., I have to use traditional algebra and write 
down the steps.

I guess you must be a photography "natural," in the same class as 
Ted Grant, who instinctively knows what to do with the camera to get 
a great picture. Some of us are not so talented and sometimes 
resort to grey cards, incident metering, and even a simplified 
version of the zone system in order to get a properly exposed image.

It's very simple to set up a list nowadays. You can set up one to 
discuss only topics which pertain directly to Leica and exclude any 
other aspect of photography which could apply to other equipment. 
Good luck with such a project. It would certainly have an elite 
readership. (Maybe only you.)

And what the hell's wrong with the occasional mention of single-malt 
whiskies? Censorship sucks.
