Not so long ago I posted to the LUG a somewhat angry response to a post which apparently criticized North Carolina for being "last in civil rights" (which is close to the truth, but still rather offensive). I received a reply from this individual, who explained that he was mainly trying to ridicule license plate slogans (such as "first in flight") and completely agreed with the point I was trying to make in my post. This person is now on my list of "friends" rather than "enemies." Email is the way to go when strong emotions are involved. Richard S.
