For a number of years (20?) my focus had changed to rocks & roots photography. My "heroes" were AA, John Sexton etc. Then I saw 4 photos by Carol Guzy in a photo magazine (Photo Pro?). I lost the magazine when my basement flooded but I can still see two of the images when I close my eyes. I have sold my 4X5 equipment to help finance Leica lens purchases. I don't (can't) take photos like her's or any of the other wonderful photographers you mentioned, but it showed me that pictures with people in them don't have to be just snapshots. Those images sure had an impact on me!
