A lot of pros are still under the mistaken notion you can't get pro lenses 
(35mm 1.4, 280 2.8, 70-180 2.8) and that flash sync. is too slow (R8). But 
in his case, I do think it's size and weight. I don't think the R8 is so 
big without auto advance. But the lenses are very big. Not what I'd want to 
carry up a rock face I'm free climbing. (Like I'd be dumb enough to free 
climb!) :-)
