What makes Hasselblad so well received, at the enormous prices they charge, and yet Leica has problems with professional and amateur acceptance? Is there a lesson in here for Leitz?>> <<The biggest difference on the surface is that Leitz is, first and foremost, an optical house. Hasselblad is a mechanical house ( Zeiss designed and manufactured Lenses). (Acceptance being defined as making money through customer acceptance, not optical or mechanical performance.)>> - -------------------- where does the character of the owner matter? Customer acceptance? Leica customers complain about reliability - or whatever - it doesn't matter - but this isn't enough in most cases, to turn and walk away. What's this list about? Who knows! But Leica is good, best, perfect, doomed, stupid, and everything else. It makes for OT posts! Even when Leica is bad it's interesting. Why are we all so concerned about Leica's survival to begin with? Because we need their products? No - we MUST use them!
