I was very impressed by the comprehensiveness of the replies and the willingness to help a fellow list-member. So thanks again. I shall probably get a separate meter eventually, but at the moment I'm not satisfied that I've developed sufficient expertise to get the most out of the one in my M6. I'm going to work on this first, putting into effect the tips you've all passed on. I've a feeling that if a buy a second meter now, there would be an irresistible temptation to use it to check every shot instead of saving it for the really difficult ones. I'm amazed that I'm being so mature about this :O As a new lugger I ought to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I've just come back to photography after a few years exploring other interests. The catalyst of this reawakening was the purchase of a digital camera (Olympus Camedia C-2000). The almost instant feed-back given by this kit together with the facility to explore the results, with for example Adobe Photoshop, is truly fascinating. However paradoxically, instead of turning me away from film it's given me a renewed appreciation for the quality and superb handling of my Leica. So much so, that I've decided to go ahead with the long postponed purchase of a 35/2 and 90/2 to complement my Standard 50mm Summicron. Best wishes, Roger Underwood roger.aru@dial.pipex.com
