It goes, in 1/4 stops, f/4.0, f/4.4, f/4.7, f/5.2, f/5.6

and in 1/3 stops: f/4.0, f/4.5, f/5.0, f/5.6

so you can find f/4.2 as roughly 1/8th stop slower than f/4.0
