Neither of the two "authorized" Leica dealers within reasonable distance carry *any* M or R series stock. They can *get* it, of course, but *I* can get it equally easily by ordering on-line. Because they have no stock, they can't offer replacement equipment, any "hands-on" fiddling around, nor, frankly, any especial knowledge about Leica gear. One dealer admitted that he'd never laid eyes on an M6 TTL and didn't expect to until someone ordered one (this looking at me hopefully). All of this is to say that I can't see any reason to buy locally, which is a shame. And I'd dearly like to play--even in the store--with some of the stuff you all talk about. And I have to confess: I'm starting to budget for an M6. Chandos At 01:12 PM 9/2/1999 -0700, you wrote: >They went Chapter 11 at least once.
