I checked the Leica home page & saw nothing. Can you be more specific as to
where? I find it hard to believe parts for the M6 would be cut off
immediately after 15 years of (still current) production.

New Leica 7.72 announced, check out web site, new titatium shutter, matrix 
metering via fully painted curtains, top speed of 1/2000 and sync of 1/250, 
semi-high eyepoint, 28mm barely visible.

Position of lens mount changed to make room for new Nikon SP like finder.  
M6 parts won't be available after this camera comes out.

Shutter cycle of 300,000 instead of 400,000+ cycles for current design.
