Seems the majority of U guys are M-users. I'm an R-user and am thinking very hard (saving $ even harder ) on expanding my relatively recent system. I bought a demo unit of an R7 with 28-70zoom (older model) . Find that this lens isn't that fantastic. Anyone knows whether the newer & sleeker model of this same zoom is better optically ? Heard it is still fabricated in Japan, (read ... less than the best that Solms has to offer ?! ) Can anyone tell me where is a good URL to seek out lens tests specifically on Leica R-lenses ? Why is it that Leica released a ASPH35-70 instead of a APO or ASPH28-70zm ? Wouldn't the 28-70 be a 'more useful ' lens ? I'm sure every leica user would welcome such an eqpt. Rgds TMLee, Singapore
