I am currently trying to put
together the "perfect" M and R outfits. I currently have an M6, 35/2
Asph, 50/2, 90/2.8 Elmarit-M, an R8, 35/2, 100/2.8 APO, 180/3.4 APO, SL
with 50/2 (2 cam).

In what way is your present outfit deficient, and what do you want your
ideal outfit to do that this one can't? Do you have deep pockets and a
strong back?

I can't comment on the M equipment, being an R-dude. If you need those 1.4
R-lenses then it makes sense to replace the SL with an R of some sort.
Send me the SL.

It seems your 180 APO would be redundant once you get the 70-180 vario
unless you want to have a lightweight 180 for when the vario is too much to
carry.
