Subject: [Leica]Adams, Rowell, reality

Adams showed us the difference between reality and elegant representation.
His quest was to translate the majesty of nature into a 2 dimensional
format.

If reality is the goal, color slides for a science class will suffice.
The higher goal is to communicate the emotional as well as the actual. It
is the difference between art and documentation, and I think it applies to
all variations of photography. I find Rowell's work to be glamorous
documentation. Weston, Adams etc. elevate the natural to the supernatural
without corrupting it.
