I have been typing steadily for an average 8-10 hours per day for 9 years. 6
years ago I discovered pain in my wrists and determined its source to be the
horrid way my hands were deviated outwards while using the standard IBM
keyboard, thereby causing pressure to impinge upon the median nerves within both
wrists. If you use the standard computer keyboard, like zillions of others, look
at the wrist/hand alignment while positioned for typing and you will see the
same problem in front of you. This is a grossly unnatural posture for said
joint. My solution? After extensive research I found Kinesis Corp which
manufactures an outstanding keyboard which causes me to place my hands in a
perfectly natural alignment because the keys are in convex placements. IOW, if I
have my arms and hands hanging at both sides of my body and then raise both and
place my hands on the Kinesis keyboard, the alignment at the hand/wrist joint
does not change. Marvelous! I have not had any problems 6 years later!!

I think Kinesis is at Kinesis.com. If not, do a search for their name and you
will find it.
