Subject: [Leica] LTM Zeiss TeleTessar 1:6.3 f 18cm

.......... screw mount lenses I have seen,
the above Jena lens in a very short mount, which was perhaps intended for
the Visoflex. Also on the lens barrel was the German, "Gilt fuer
Zwischenring" (made for extension ring, I think), and it had an unusual
focus in which the sharply angled threads were visible as the lens rotated
out. The serial number was 808128. Anyone ever seen this one?

Gary....... The 180 F6.3 Tele Tessar was a reasonably common Contax RF lens
( aas early as 1932 or so) and I have never seen it elsewhere..... Whether
the lens you found was born Contax and later adapted, or if the lens is a
factory run I have no way to know.

Did the lens have a 40.5 internal filter thread or no filter threads at all?
Black enamel paint, nickel, or chrome barrel?

Certainly an interesting lens.....
