Do not suggest that Leica could use the bottoms out of milk bottles for front elements in the new lenses as the "bean counters" probably have not thought of that one yet. As for new manufacturing techniques, I am already advised the company is using files to make things fit rather than manufacturing them to fit. Someone from Solms must have taken a page out of the pre-WWII Japanese camera industry's book. It is good to have advance warning about what may be expected from Solms in the future.
