With me the motivational factor is motivation. How lazy am I today? If I'm
feeling less lazy I'll use the 50 and have to sharpen my focus and think more.
On a typical day I'll just put on 35 and not worry about it.
HCB was of the opposite opinion. He said wide angles were for "show offs."
