Colen have received a single post today. However, as Dr. Hausner kindly forwarded a copy of his latest post to Dr. Blacktape, Dr. Blacktape responds: There is no question that the words fan and fanatic are closely linked. It seems to go without saying that anyone who bothers to belong to the LUG is a Leica fan, and it seems equally obvious that some are Leica fanatics. Obviously, it would benefit all if we could all be fans without becoming fanatics blinded to the fact that our own true love may have a few pimples and stray hairs here and there. But, alas, we can't. It is inevitable that from time to time we will be overwhelmed by lengthy, often irrational, defenses of the indefensible. But that is, after all, one of the perils of belonging to any "fan" club. All of which is to say, if one can't put up with the occasional fanatic one probably doesn't belong among the fans. :-)
