Dick,

From experience, you can use the 2x Extender-R (non-APO) with (c) the
APO f/2.8 100mm. No problems, but it is a longer rig making a f5.6
200mm. A purist might not like using an APO lens with a non-APO
extender, but in a clutch it gives you 200mm.

Dick, in the 93/94 "Handbook of the Leica System," at page 2-40, there
is a chart of Leica R lenses that may be used with the APO-Extender-R 2x
(APO 2x) and the APO-Extender-R 1.4x (APO 1.4x). The APO 1.4x has a
protruding or projecting lens into the cavity of the prime lens which
limits its use to about seven (7)+ lenses compared to nineteen (19)+
lenses for the APO-2x.
