The cheapest and most abundant stuff out there is all the Pentax/Practica 
screwmount, which includes a bunch of bodies and some great lenses (including 
the Russian stuff).  But only Nikon, Leica, Contax or Pentax "K" will let you 
move up to the latest gear and still integrate the older stuff into a system 
even if some of the metering (and of course AF in the case of Nikon and 
Pentax) functions aren't forward compatible.
